I was born and lived in Liège, Belgium.
In 2004, I moved to America. I soon found the "Americans' idea" of "Belgian waffles" not to be the sweet tasting traditional variety that most Belgians enjoy. In 2007 when I moved to Florida, I decided to introduce the "Authentic Belgian waffle" and started to bake them at the local farmers' markets.
Sylvia's Authentic Belgian Waffles are made from a 400 year old recipe. They are a scrumptious breakfast & dessert or a great snack to be eaten warm or at room temperature, with or without toppings.
We work at different Farmer's Markets and we do caterings for private and business events: breakfasts, parties, and more.

To be sure everybody can find a waffle baked the way they need, we bake regular authentic Belgian Waffles, gluten free waffles, vegan gluten free
waffles and Liege Waffles on site.
The "Liège Waffle" is the "common" Belgian waffle (the one you'll find everywhere on the streets in Belgium). It is made with a "pearl sugar" imported from Belgium which caramelize throughout the waffle in the waffle-maker giving the "Liège Waffle" a sweet crunch.
A special sugar imported from Belgium is in the batter so our waffles are sweet (no need of syrup).

At the markets: Traditional, Cinnamon and Chocolate Chip.
By Order: Apricot, Banana, Blueberry, Coconut, Mango, Peach, Pineapple, Raspberry, Strawberry.
For the ones who prefer to eat gluten free or vegan, we bake also our waffles with a gluten free flour. We keep our delicious recipe so you can enjoy a traditional or vegan waffle gluten free.
